Cant upgrade my R4DS kernal

    I've had v1.18 forever, never had any problems. I wanted to play the new wheel of fortune game today but it wouldn't work the screen was just white. I figured I needed to update the kernal but on the website it still says 1.18 is the newest version. I download a newer version and it just sticks on a loading screen. I go put it back to my computer and its telling me I need to format the drive. So basically I lost everything... no problem. I start doing research and find out that the new main site (I think) is r4sdhc. I find my card on the bottom of the kermal download list, load it up to the card. Still just stuck on a loading screen. do some more research to find that this website is for fake DS R4s? I'm really confused v1.18 always worked but does it run all the new games? I tried numerous copies of the game and none loaded, same with jeopardy. Someone help me out when I last updated I thought there was only 1 site to download the kernals from now I see many different versions. Which one do I need? Thanks for any help.

    Well....first off where were you between 2007 to 2011 ? ???

    Seems to me your cart run a 1Gb or max 2Gb version R4DS which is an R4 DS Original. Thus updating it with one for R4DS SDHC isn't compatible. If you have made a backup prior to updating it with the wrong file, then simply format the SD Micro and re-insert the original files. If not, well, you'll need to download the v.1.18 again : http://www.r4ds.com/download.htm#1

    There's no newer version since v.1.18. You'll need to either add Wood R4 or YSMENU to your cart as a secondary firmware.
