i bought the cartridge awhile ago, and it worked fine. (DSTT for NDS/NDSL/NDSi) i tried recently, and i get this message: "an error has occured. press and hold the power button to turn the system off. please see the nintendo DSi operations manual for help troubleshooting" ive tried EVERYTHING...i was told that there might be something i need to download/update...any ideas? :-\

    Which acekard is this?

If it's 2.i, it should work, though not wether or not it'll work if the dsi's firmware has been upgraded.

    If it's 2.1..you need a new one.

Did you update your DSi to official firmware 1.4?
This firmware blocked Flashcarts, and they need to be patched to work again.

    Here is the patch:
    http://www.linfoxdomain.com/nintendo/ds/dl.php/AceKard_2i_firmware_v1.4.zip

You have to have a DS Lite or a DSi with 1.3 firmware on it in order to run the Update since you have to run it from the Acekard menu, and the Acekard will not boot on a DSi with 1.4

The 2 card's shoudln't work at all on a dsi.

If it has 2.i anywhere on the card's label it would work on a dsi.

My brand new dsi refused my acekard 2.1 on initial start up.

Can someone explain what firmware version the DSI comes with.

And is this version 1.4 upgrade lurking in a folder waiting to be activated.

You have to use a DSi with 1.3 or a DS lite to run the update for your Acekard. You cannot use the DSi with 1.4 because it blocks the Acekard (until you patch it).
