cant open downloaded files

    everytime I try to poen downloaded game with WINRAR program "alert" comes up saying......rar:crc failed-file is corrupt

    update your winrar.

    it won't let me extract my .rar file how do i update winrar, any tips, please?

    download the new version from www.rarlabs.com and install it.

    i tried that but it failed to successfully install, because one file could not be created.

    try downloading 7 zip then http://www.7-zip.org/

    no. update winrar. first uninstall it. Then download it again

    I think it's the other way around, Mr. 7zip ;)

    ok can we just get over this and make the differences be left aside and join the 2 products as one and solve all the errors. look honestly i can't even extract my files any more without a bloody error, and 2 people fighting over whether winrar or 7zip works better.

    I recommend 7 zip its all the rage nowadays ;D

    Completely uninstall winrar. Reboot your computer. Install the latest version.

    why bother with all that when you can download 7 zip and be on your way ;)

    tip - download 7 zip now

    Uninstall winrar later

    usoppu stop confusing the issue. Downloading 7zip will not fix the problem.

    well now it's complaining that the file is broken, is there a way, to fix it?

    Redownload it and it should work.

    Also guys, stop being gits and confusion, if you do not have anything constructive to add then stay out of the thread.
