can you play roms through a DS SD slot?

well my acekard broke and i cant be bothered to buy a new one will it work through my SD slot on a dsi and a dsiXL?

I mean mabe it might not be broke

 

it doesn't read at all not one bit i tried swapping the sds i tried formatting it ,it won't read at all

 

try formatting the SD card

 

Sounds like an issue with the contacts. Try inserting a small piece of paper in next to the cart (be careful, the paper should be removable) to create better contact. Also, blow on the contacts of the cart.

As to the original question, nope. The SD slot on the DSi has tons of protection. It will never read things such as roms.

It's moments like this that make me certain to take care of my flashcard with ease, not saying anything about you dude, just stating that it is a grave reminder to me and possibly hundreds of others on this site that think the same thing. ^_^

 

Nope, you can't run games from the DSi's SD slot.

It has protection so it only would read things it wants to read.
