My first post, ever, so be nice! Is it possible to play a GBA game on a DS via a flash card such as R4? I ask as i want to play some games but no longer posses a GBA. If not, is there some software that i can download to change my R4 so they work, or would i have to buy a new flash card. Thanks for any replies
no it is not possible. but you can get an EZ Flash 3 in 1. if you have a DSi you can get the iplayer. an EZ Flash is an expansion that goes in your GBA slot. GBA roms cannot boot through a NDS flashcard so the EZ must be there so the flashcard can boot in GBA mode and play the GBA roms running on the flashcard. the iplayer is a new flashcard which uses a special SD card to play GBA roms.
no, the iplayer is a flashcart which contains a cpu and ram, allowing the DS to emulate GBA games while in NDS mode, albeit not very well. It also cannot play DS roms.
