can you make a japanese sav file work on a usa soul silver

Heres the problam. i have a usa soul silver and when i put my japanese sav file on it, it does not work. it loads up the game but it wont let me play my sav file. if your wondering why i want to put my japanese sav on a usa soul silver is i finished playing the japanese soulsilver and i did a lot of stuff in the game. i dont want to start over again beating the game again and getting all the stuff again. is there a way to make a japanese sav file work on a usa soulsilver.

 

Did you name the save file the same as the USA rom name?

yes i named the sav file to us rom name. it starts my soulsilver, but it wont play my sav. when it says continue playing your game, it keeps going to black screen.
