Can you buy a pokewalker?

I just wanted to know if anybody knew if you can buy a pokewalker from the shops? cuz I'm probably gonna get the ROM but i want the pokewalker... I'm one of those people that want everything to do with the game.(i got wifi and the headset)

Yes. It works with the rom, but you can only find it from sites like ebay.

 

I don't think it will work with the rom, as you need an IR cart to transfer the information, same as Personal Trainer: Walking. Unless someone jury-rigs an IR setup, having a pokewalker without the game would be fairly useless.

I'm sure i remember an Admin on this site (or maybe it was a moderator) say that the pokewalker doesn't work with the ROMs. There may be cheats available for some cards that replicate whatever the pokewalker does; if there aren't at the moment there probably will be in the future.

The Pokewalker will only connect to a retail cart because of the built in IR sensor.
