can some 1 please advise

hi my first post so hope its right and in the right place!!!

i have a nds lite and have just brought a r4.

iv just downloaded 2 games and extracted the files and now have 2 files on my desktop that are 1 for each game...it says they are nds files.

my question is prob a stupid 1 so answer it like I'm a 2 year old please lolol

do i just put my mem card in the card reader and drag the 2 files on to it or do i have to do something to the files before i can use them

by the way the files needed to run the r4 have all been put on there by the person i brought the card from
