I know you can connect an xbox to a laptop so that you can use the windows media center. I was wondering if i could play on xbox live with my xbox connected to my laptop using an ethernet cable while my laptop was using a wireless connection. If yall had any suggestions that would be extremely helpful bc its such a pain to play it in the dining room which has the only ethernet port in the house. Thanks!

You should be able to. You just have to setup your laptop correctly.

It should be able to share it's internet connection with the second network, the windows network configuration tool should do it automatically for you.
