Can I play Pokemon FireRed on my DS?

Yes it is possible. You have to get yourself the Slot-2 device called EZ Flash V 3 in 1. It will work with your R4 to load GBA roms.

No, there is no other way to play them on your R4. You have to have the Slot 2 device.

 

yep no other way, as raysie said you need a slot 2 device so i would consider buying a ezflash 3 in 1 (unless you have a dsi)

Cause I was going thru a nostalgia trip yesterday and thinking about when I first played Pokemon Blue.. Felt like playing Pokemon again, but only if it were mostly the original 150. Now the dream's crushed

 

You can use a GBA emulator for your PC to play instead, GBA emulation on the PC is nearly 100% perfect.

You can still play Red, Blue and Yellow Versions with an R4. You don't even need any extra devices. All you need to is download Lameboy (A GB/GBC Emulator).

now all you gotta do is buy another flashcart called iplayer. It has an emulator called (i forgot the name) download it put the rom in your iplayer and play the game without buying ezv 3 in one
