Can I play PAL games or Japenese games on NTSC Dreamcast?

    Can I play PAL games or Japanese games on NTSC Dreamcast? If so how do I do it? Do I have to patch the cdi or anything like that? Thanks in advance.

    Yes you can and there is no chip required, maybe on the later models not sure about that. but I have a NTSC system and I been playing all kinds of Japanese fighters and think I got quite a few Euro games like Evil Twin.

    [EDIT] seeing your able to play burnt games already then you shouldn't have any problems playing PAL games.

    Do the Japanese games have an english option?

    Doubt it.

    Unless the game was designed with an English option (a select few are).
