pretty sophisticated idea but will it work if its refurbished.
let me explain: so the logic board is specifically designed for your device.
im not exactly sure but i know this voids warranty but i don't have a warranty anyway.
i just want to know if its possible: ive been doing alot of reasearch ive been to virtually every video / forum about this but nobody knows

so what you do is you buy an old ipod classic hard drive from a broken ipod classic off ebay. and then u open the ipod and hook it up?

it sounds pretty simple, but will it work?

I doubt it, I imagine the touch is flash based not hard disk.

see thats what i thought but apparently you can downgrae your ipod touch 2nd gen to a 1st gen . and then theirs some error in design that allows it. i dk if i want to down grade thuough

as far as I am aware, all versions of the ipod touch are flash based.

You can't open an iPod without destroying it. And even if you could, as Loonylion said, it's flash based.
