Exactly as the topic subject says, I want to know if it's possible that an NTSC PSP can, in fact, play PAL PSP games. I was planning to import Breath of Fire 3 on the PSP (since it was never ported for the states.) Anyway, I would appreciate any and all answers that would be useful.
Thanks for the link, mds. I don't have a PSP at the moment. (I was stupid a year ago and traded mine in for a DS lite. Something I probably shouldn't have done, but eh, no use complaining about the past.) But, I'll definitely bookmark the site for future use.
Except for the go-any psp can play iso's provided the firmware isn't above 5.03 on the newer slim and bright-aka the 3000 model. Temp hack can play isos-chickHEN can do that with the right tools.
If you find out the firmware let us know-you can save money and use my soft hack guide or if it's above "5.03" then a pandora/tool battery may help.
So, if I got a slim, would it still be hackable if I were to use a Pandora battery? Edit: Or is it hackable without the use of the battery and just needs certain tools, if it was already using official firmware?
It depends... Some have a different mother board that prevents a complete hack. Find out what firmware number it is-I can help further if it's 5.03.
I can keep you posted on the situation, but as of right now, I don't have the money to go out and purchase a PSP. I'm going to try and get the funds I need, but I don't know exactly how long that will be.
...LOL! Ok then-I'd consider ebay. If you find one that has a broken UMD bay and you got the downlaod abilities then pick that up-many people with psp's use iso games just because their UMD drives are busted-why repair when you can just use data... But the 8GB memory stick required to keep more than 5 decent games would be a good amount...$100AUD mine cost
