I wanted to play Digimon as I was a fan of the show. I want to try it out for NDS, before I buy a copy for me and my son.

Which NDS Digimon game would you recommend I start with and why?

I recommend .digimon world. to start with because it has a good story
A long game and can be challenging
    Great training/battle system.

Though if you are after a more relaxing/friendly digi game i would recommend .Digimon World Championship.
Good fun to train and catch digimon pretty much a pet like the old digivices but with HEAPS more features.
The battle system in DWC is by far my favorite because you dont take part in battle they just do what you tell them pre battle.

As a Digimon fan as well I actually didn't like Digimon World Championship due to you NOT being able to control them. Perhaps I'll give it another go.

Digimon World on the other hand is a great game. It's the same as Digimon World 3 on PS1. You get a Digimon, level it up and Digi-Evolve it in to another one. Good story and the game contains most Digimon from all of the seasons.

Digimon world champion ships is overall a really good game (Awesome replayability value) but it's repetative. It's kind of like Monster Rancher (Another awesome game) But what I'd recommend is Pokemon (Obvious coming from me, haha.)

I still didn't get a clear answer on Digimon: Dusk/Dawn games.

the difference between dusk and dawn is the digimon you start with and story line it is a fun game through... also you can battle friends over wi-fi and hatch eggs with random people over wi-fi...

Digimon Dusk/Dawn is kinda like Pokemon Diamond/Peal.

They're the same game but with different elements, this being which side you go with. See in these two games there are two warring factions, sorry I forgot their names, anyway Dawn has you with a Rookie joining the dawn or light faction & your starting Digimon is a light atribute Digimon, whilst in Dusk, you play as a grunt for the dark Army (or something in those lines) & your starter is a night or Darkness based Digimon.

Digimon world DS is better than Dawn/Dusk in my opinion

I would'nt play a digimon game, they're awful.. simply awful.. apart from the very first one, Digimon World?? that came out on the PS1.

I haven't played my Digimon World DS game in a long while and I never played the PSX version of Digimon World. A lot of people have told me that it's very hard that game.

more digimon on dawn/dusk but dwds has better storyline, and yes, it is hard considering all the last bosses are lvl 99
