    I'm going to buy new flashcard for my DSL (now I have DS Linker). I need new flashcard because some games are not working (eg. Pokemon Black 2 / Kirby Mass Attack).

    I don't need gba emulator, dsi/3ds compatibility. So I looked for this one:

    Two questions:
    1. Is it possible to run (newest) Wood R4 kernel on this?
    2. Will It be possible then to run newest games (Pokemon/Kirby) or must I look for something else? (Please, not DSTWO :p, Aekard 2i I see is dead for now)

    Well, yes, that EXACT card will run the Wood R4 kernel.
    Just note that there's many clones, and that the chance of not getting a clone, even when you're sure you didn't buy one, is quite high. Have a look here if you want to buy one.

    As for supporting the newer games, well, that depends on the Wood R4 firmware.
    Wood supports most clean ROMs so there should be no problem really, unless a new game comes out with AP and YWG hasn't fixed it yet (the maker of Wood).

    Also, you don't really need a new flashcard to play newer games.
    All you need is to patch the games which don't work. See this guide: http://forum.romulation.net/index.php?topic=59991.0

    Thank you for reply. Yes, i saw this thread about patching and udes this program succesfully with Golden Sun :D But as I see, it works with U wersions rather than with EU versions (I will start using just U versions - I'm using english language in both situations so I don't see difference between those two versions). I'll check that flashcard (I don't see any help with many games like newest Pokemon,Kirby,Final Fantasy IV)

    Best Regards, Tetriando

    I'd rather suggest buying an R4i Gold instead since it's still getting continuous support from the maker, and it gets official support by Yellow Wood Goblin who made Wood R4 secondary firmware. On top of that, you get to use SDHC SD Micro cards and not limited to mere 1 or 2 GB Non-SDHC SD Micro cards. Furthermore if in the future you decided to own a 3DS, that cart is still usable, unlike the one you're hoping to buy. Then again, it depends on whether that cart is available in your country or not. :p

    R4 is always a mess,
    Get a Supercard DSone or acekard2i, compactible cards and works with much compactibillety and nice interfaces.

    Most people go into the mistake of buying r4 while there are far better flashcards out there.

    Either the flashcard in the picture is not the one you buy or its fake, the one in the picture is not an R4 original and isnt supported by wood r4.

    @asscreke
    I myself got over a 30 flashcards wich i studied inside out for years (ego moment).
    By far most the Supercard dsONEi is cheap and has perfect compatibility.
    Using a flashcard with the support of other party's software is something i dont like and wont use either.
    besides, i havent updated my dsONEi for over 2 years and kirby the latest game still works, it doesnt on older versions those flashcards you mentiond, shows how good the compatibility is on a supercard.
    The forums of Supercard dsone/dstwo is even dead, cause noboddy ever has problems with the card.

    @Tetriando
    Consider buying one of these 2 flashcards, i already seen anuf people act foolish and listen to others buying a card that doesnt work afterwards.

    -as far as i know the acekard2i is also supported with 3ds games, if u want a supercard with 3ds support it will costs lots more.
    the dsone is only like 16 bucks.

    Also concider thinking, so what if its 4 dollar more then an r4 original, a game costs more then a flashcard.
    You just only give out the price of a game for the use of over 2000 ds games.
