Hey, this is probably really stupid but... I downloaded ff tactics for ps1 and want to burn it using nero (if possible). How do I do that? Just a note that I extracted the files onto my pc and the two files in the folder are fft and fft.cue... so i dunno... help?

you're better off using imgburn. I'm not sure nero can burn anything other than .iso or .nrg.

the way I do it, and it seems easiest to me is:

mount the image to a virtual drive using Daemon Tools and then I use the 'copy cd' function in Nero to copy the cd without having to select any preferences. Select the source drive as the virtual drive and the destination drive as your physical cd drive and voila! nero does the rest.

    ...

Nero can't allow lower disc speed-so use img burn-it's free and won't conflict.

    Not a good idea-it's better to use a lower speed-know nero-it might go 16X...

Meaning more chance of making cd coasters.

And...that is an odd way to do it-and from the looks of it the user here may not have a birtual drive just yet.

Best use img burn-1x or 4x, and point the program at the main file-if you get it wrong it'll redirect you with...a sarcastic mesage XD

It might be able to-but I wouldn't trust nero...

I made so many dam coasters using the dam thing :(

    Yup ImageBurn FTW

  7. ImageBurn works great but Nero can be used quite well for games with certain file types if you're comfortable using it.
Bear in mind some CD writers and some CDs work better with PS1 games than others. My Optiarc won't burn PS1 games with Nero but my Samsung works great. As the Optiarc is made by Sony, that might explain things a little, or it might not. Anyway....
Here's a few notes on using Nero (V6) to burn PS1 games for use on a PS1. It's not exhaustive, but it might be useful.

    .CUE and .BIN files
    ------------------------
In NERO express, just "Burn Image to Disc" and pick the .CUE file.
Note the .CUE file tells NERO all it needs to know about the .BIN file, so you might need to edit it if some buffoon has pointed the .CUE to point at a specific path on their hard disk before uploading it to the world. All you need it to point to is the is the .BIN filename in the directory you're using the .CUE file.

    .ccd, .img & .sub files
    ---------------------------
Just rename the ,IMG file to .ISO and select "Burn Image.." from the "Recorder" menu in NERO. That might not be entirely correct, but it works.

    .mdf and .mds files
    ------------------------
    Use ImageBurn! ;)

Burning the ccd, img and sub files might loose sound or distort it.

And your right about the drives...

My cd burner, dvd rom and blue ray rom :)) ) can't record or "copy" disc iso's (no seek complete error...) yet my lg external does it fine, if it doesn't work the disc is damaged.
