Hello, Im only asking because I'd like m laptop to be fully functional... So anyway, one day I was attempting to make a vid of myself for some random reason, and...well let's say everything I tried=device is "not connected". Even the device manager shows the webcam is missing >_> (And remember-IT'S BUILT IN-so no suggestions of plugginin it in please <_< ) Also on a possibly related subject, I was making some changes to my psp's files via usb insertion, one day the psp wouldn't show on the laptop, switched usb ports, it worked, and now my laptop keeps telling me that one of my usb based devices have failed to work...and when I check the error list, it gives me a BLANK device list saying "one or more of the devices here do not appear to be functioning correctly". And the psp hasnt been connected for the last 3 days, and this messages appears randomly! So...an annoying prompt that annoyed me before my first ever format, and a built in webcam not being visable...help?
the webcam is probably USB. try uninstalling all the USB controllers and reboot to let them reinstall.
When I wanted to use my webcam for the first time, I didn't know that it was disabled. I had to hit Fn+F4 to re-enable it. Make sure that yours is enabled, and it should make that USB noise when it's activated.
