i've moved pass the gaming forum and the debate of the ps3/360/wii.
every comment that was left there has said something and i'm glad they uphold their true words because lol.

anyway this is a very interesting story isn't it. doesn't it remind you of something?!

Maybe because it's not a bad product. MP3 players are more technically advanced products then CD players, even if MP3's have a lower quality of sound that most people don't notice. The hardware is more advanced. Gone were the days of scratching CDs and shock absorbent CD players (that still skip). MP3 players, in the context of this article, is a bad example of what he's trying to say.

Take into account stuff like pricing, a 300 dollar product is a lot more alluring than a more expensive product even with it's fancy trinkets attached to it. Even then something 500 dollars could have more bang for your buck versus the product that's 300 dollars.

What this guy is talking about has too many unknown variables to make a general statement like "make crappy products". Even then, saying something is crappy is up to the person buying the product in the first place. Someone may love their Sony MD player (if you don't know what it is look it up) more than an iPod or a Harddrive based MP3 player. Or someone may prefer their CDs or something versus any other type of media distrubution. I still love to use vinyls if they're available, and I continue buying vinyl records, I just recently bought a White Stripes album last weekend. I know I'm talking of something other then sales but this subject has too many variables to make a statement like he's making.

Is this a contradiction or am I reading this wrong?

Actually, they've left no impression and left us wondering more because you cite no sources to anything you say, or you say things with no logical reasoning behind it, you just say it. I liked the way you explained why they uphold their true words. You can't even support your own opinions that don't even need fact, just an explanation. My kids can explain themselves better than you. If you want to make a point ultra, make your sentences flow better and actually explain your posts. From this post and the ones in the gaming lounge, I'd say you're just trolling.

i posted this article to show you why very powerful camcorders such as those from nikon and canon aren't selling as great like the iflip camera. btw, it isn't only the camcorders it's also a lot of things. to those who work within the company like nikon and canon, sometimes they can't figure out why people would buy inferior products as opposed to superior products. there is a problem and i doubt people here are able to figure it out why as natewlie has shown.

You've missed the entire point of my post. Good job.

It's like you haven't read my post at all. If you haven't seen that I didn't understand the point of that article, you're blind.

A good professional Nikon camera can cost around a thousand dollars. You can get a cheap average quality camera for around 60 dollars. What's more attractive? I'm no professional, so I'll get the inexpensive camera.

This guy's article (which is no longer there) doesn't apply to everything. From what I can remember, he mentioned nothing for cameras, he mentioned mostly MP3 players. Which IS wrong because MP3 players are more advanced CD players, even without the better quality of music (which is virtually unnoticed by most people).

Also you made this post so you can try to make a point as to why the Wii is more successful than anything else. It's basically the only thing you've been posting about lately or seem to be getting at.

Its cheaper. thats all people care, if the cheaper one suits their purposes and does what they want then they are not going to buy a more expensive one. I would not buy any of those 4, but if I had to buy one it would be the Sony. None of them suit my purposes therefore I would not buy any of them.

Ultra, read my post, and you'll find the answer. Seriously, your previous post had no point.

And if you read my posts, you could've found your answer for your previous two posts.

    elaborate, what is that "something"?
the fact that we don't go for expensive high quality products when we could choose another with the same function we're looking to use?

    Oh, hi Ultra!

I see you are posting an article trying to make a point, which happens to contradict another point you made in Wii/Xbox360/PS3 topic. Didn't you say, "sales measure quality"?

And what's the title of that article called? "Build Crappy Products"? And what reasoning is there behind it?

    Because IT SELLS!
