"Of course you know, this means war." We've discussed Star Wars v Star Trek, Batman v Superman, and Ninjas v Pirates. I'd like to present the new question: The Animaniacs v Bugs Bunny. For those unfamiliar with either: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animaniacs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bugs_Bunny It's quite the question. Honestly, we've been arguing it for a while over at my place. The Warner Brothers (and the Warner sister) - Pros: Three of them, completely wacky, the progeny of Bugs Bunny (and those related thereof), can do all things cartoon-y. Cons: Much younger, less experience. Quotes and mimics the 'old' cartoons frequently Bugs Bunny - Pros: Experience with all sorts of enemies, good at playing the opponent's game, lucky, can do all things cartoon-y Cons: Consistently gets lost (damn that left turn at Albuquerque), old, only one of him. You have to look at their similarities as well. Both have affinities for anvils, both have affinities for the giant mallet, both love flowers made of real exploding dynamite. Neither have lost a single 'war' with an enemy. Let's assume, for the sake of argument , that both opponents have cartoon immortality, and that the war never ends until one of them waves the signature white flag. Who wins? Decide!
Im a Fan Of Both, but back in the day i would rather watch Tom & Jerry Kids Or Tom & Jerry. But If i had to choose beween Animaniacs & Bugs Bunny i would have to say, Bugs Bunny Wins, The reason i would choose that is because it made me laugh so HARRRRD !!! in Every Episode i watched and because when i used to drink hot choco and watch it i would fall asleep at night (In My Childhood Days) Animaniacs Made me laugh alot too, dont get me wrong but it didnt make me laugh as hard and it isnt as memorable as Bugs Bunny
This needs some expanding though. It's not only Bugs Bunny who you should compete with the Animaniacs because there are also other members of the Animaniacs franchise aside from the three siblings. So it should be "Looney Tunes versus Animaniacs" of which I'd choose the Looney Tunes' side. The Animaniacs & the other Looney Tunes spin offs (Tiny Toons, Taz-mania, Baby Looney Tunes & Lunatics) just milked the success of their predecessor. Plus all them spin-offs have plots that kinda ruins the slap stick fun that Looney Tunes has.
Bugs Bunny has stood the test of time.....as well as all of the other Loony Toons characters. Their cartoons are timeless. Where are the Animaniacs now? They were nowhere nearly as successful.
