    I agree with Loony.

I have used Firefox for a long time and It is great, there are alot of cool add ons also.

Just last week I tried Opera on the PC as well and it is better than I expected.

firefox used to be named firebird, and they also have thunderbird, which is an email client. There is also a program called seamonkey (formally mozilla suite) which is one program containing both firefox and thunderbird, plus more.

Well, opinions here aren't necessarily helpful. It comes down to the person, right?

Firefox has the support of extensions and add-ons, which I find very helpful. Great speed too. However, if you have poor PC specs, than Firefox can be a hell of a strain on resources. It also tends to crash a lot more than Opera.

Opera isn't that different from Firefox. It's more of a "install-and-go!" rather than Firefox's large customization. Also a fast browser that tends to crash less than Firefox for me. There's also a nifty thing you can set instead of a homepage in you use your computer privately. You can have a list of websites with thumbnails. Like, little bookmark... I can't explain it well.

I use Firefox myself, but I occasionally do use Opera. Also, if you have a heap of memory and are into text smoothing and all that other hardcore Apple stuff, Safari might be worth checking out.

    Hope this post helped.

Safari on windows is a disaster at this stage, don't go that way.

I use it 3'rd most. Firefox, then Opera, then Safari, then IE. But... I don't see how it's a disaster. It's never crashed for me, it's seemingly fast. It's also a resource whore, but so is Firefox. The main difference in font I recently had explained to me elsewhere can be found here, but it's really an Apple thing in general. It's up to you how you like Safari's visuals. To me, sometimes it can look great, other times it looks pretty awful. In terms of speed and reliability I see nothing wrong or significantly different about it. To each man his own, though.

    .

The Windows port of Safari is still under heavy development. Builds are often buggy and have security flaws. It is generally a bad idea to run software in such as state unless you are fully aware of the risks involved, with the exception of Windows, which never leaves that state; so you don't get much choice.

I'm using Maxthon atm. Because it is really easy to surf the net with it :) Also right-click dragging is something new to me which makes going to previous pages or refreshing pages easier to me :D But about its security... i have no idea :-[

Thunderbird is an email client, not a browser.
