Blood?

Just curious here.
I know it's not safe to drink another's - another persons' - blood. Since it can carry deceases, etc. etc.

But, what about your own cut?

-- For example if you cut yourself, or accidentally cut yourself on a sharp object, is it okay to drink that blood as it is your own?

By cut, I mean on the arm with a clean knife. Not sucking from the wound, just letting blood drip from it as - Yes I do know, that sucking a word hard enough can damage the viens. So like I said, not cutting too deep just a slit that could allow me to just lick at it.
Then clean the wound after. Just wondering if that was a safe thing ^^ And if it was okay.

 

if it's clean.....i guess it'll be fine.....i've cut myself with a steak knife before (more like stabbed it into my arm.....) just don't go killing yourself....

I guess it's safe. I mean, if you have AIDS in your blood, drinking it won't give you AIDS^2. Or would it...?

 

just don't cut yourself with the same knife without washing it first, do not use bleach on it, and make sure your skin is cleaned with alcohol first, then all should be fine... (i know from experience....)

 

But if it's flowing out with the blood, wouldn't it have already been in your body?

 

no, because the pressure of the blood stops anything from Going into your blood stream while the blood is flowing.....

 

It's not flowing out of your body with the blood, it's already out of your body and the flowing blood stops it from entering the body until the platelets can block off the opening.

And I suck on small cuts. Saliva contains a protein that helps cuts heal, it's why cuts in your mouth heal so fast (like biting your tongue or cheek). Also why animals lick their wounds.

I drank my own blood before, you know when you accidentally cut yourself like a paper cut and you have nothing to stop it for the mean time?

If it was a snake bite your sucking then expect issues.

Prety much, it's very salty.

I can't drink or eat much else that comes from me though...I mean...I know people can eat their excreatment but I'm only willing to try blood...

After all, it's 90% water anyway.

Provided that it's not recently infected or someone elses that has an STD.

 

I try tasting my blood once when i got a deep cut on my finger last time. I swear that is the last time i taste blood as it has this horrible raw taste. *Puke*
