Starcraft II beta, it's very incredible! And it's only the beta. I love the Editor there, that allow you to make since a simple mod to a new whole game. Joe (Allkratos) gonna love this thread hehehehe.
Definitely Starcraft 2,it's gonna be the biggest PC game since the last few years. Like Paul said.the Editor is simply sublime.
I would play all these games if blizzard weren't so GOD DAMN CHEAP! I've played better MMORPGs for free, I honestly don't understand why people pay for what should be free.
umm WoW is the only mmo? the others are RTS. anyway, it costs a hell of a lot to run an MMO, expecially one the size of WoW.
WoW can get boring after a while but not as grindy as other MMO out there. Free MMO also means you gotta pay for powerful items whereas game like WoW just demands you to play more, which can also mean that more months to subscribe for the game. WoW is so huge that Blizzard has to hire tons of people to maintain and manage it. Not to mention server costs, energy used by servers, etc. WoW currently has 11.5 million ACTIVE subscriber. That means it will probably be twice as large if you counts the cancelled subscription as well. Moreover, each player probably has more than one avatar. Think about it, it is like running a country. The quality will be very bad if not the game will break down without a lot of money spent on maintenance. Even with all the money, the servers have gone mad on occasions.
Show me one MMORPG that is better than Eve Online or WoW. Please, I want to be an inform reader because of the sheer fact I have yet to find any decent free MMORPGs. The only two that I deemed good for being freebies is private Ragnarok servers back in the day before the whole MASS XP/STAT bullcrap that has been going around. The other being Guild Wars but sadly, I couldn't stand Guild Wars after maxing my level on the first 'episode' of the game.(I only own the orignal Guild Wars) and that is because Mesmer and Necromancer was OP. The only reason I enjoy, I guess, "wasting" my money which is 14.99 a month. Which is 50 cents a day, is for two reasons. GOOD SERVERS. I hate free mmorpgs that have crappy and laggy servers. The other is content. I am paying some joe shmoe who put his heart and soul into the work and paying him for more content. And second, ever since Burning Crusade came out and now even WoLTK. It's easy to get 'high item level' gear and other crap because it's suppose to appeal to the casuals and hardcores. Mostly because no matter what the hardcores will get what they want no matter what but the casuals do not thus being they simplified it a lot. Oh and as well WoW is the most 'simplistic' MMORPG. That anyone can pick up and go through leveling(Not RoF) and take the time. They will learn and do well for their class.
Region lock is a shame but that's because Blizzard designed Starcraft 2 based on WoW. WoW has different server regions. Quality control and Starcraft 2 units balance is different from region to region.
