Bleach 2nd kokui hirameku requiem/Dark Souls - how to save story mode progress

Bleach 2nd Kokui Hirameku Requiem/Dark Souls:
Problem: Story mode progress is lost (restarts) when I reset or close the emulator.
Emulator used: No$gba 2.6a and DeSmuME
Roms used: 0856 - Bleach 2nd Kokui Hirameku Requiem (J)(WRG)(ReadNFO)(PROPER) and 2761 - Bleach Dark Souls (U)(Xenophobia)

Everytime i reset or close the emulator it says: "Saving... do not turn the power OFF or remove the Game Card." When i go to story mode, my progress is lost (restarts to Ichigo's introduction, etc).

I tried downloading and using .SAV files, searching for supposedly "fixed" roms and using the DSLazy for the unpacking-header.bin-arm7.bin-pack method. Nothing worked.

Any solutions? Should there be specific settings in the Emulation Setup? Any patches needed? Does the saving process have to done manually? Pls help.
