Black Screen on doom - doing my head in!

    Hey so when I try and load any PS1 game on my comp by using the game CD ePSXe 1.7.0 loads up but the screen just stays black. I wanted to play Final Fantasy IX so I downloaded the files from the site, but again it does the same thing. This is the only download that hasn't worked for me, but CDs have never worked.


    Any ideas chaps?

    Try using ePSXe 1.5.2 for Final Fantasy IX.
    Also, use Pete's OpenGL2 2.9 or Pete's D3D 1.77 plugin. Default "Nice" settings, and turn on the Special Game fixes for FF9 (Battle swirl or cursor fix, I believe).

    Ah ha! I have the download of Final Fantasy IX working, so thanks a bunch! ;D any ideas why my discs won't work though? :(

    If you don't care about the lower (default) resolution, try using the pSX Emulator.
