    hi guys just wanted to know some names of good rpgs along the lines of the ff series. i know the obv ones like phantasy star and the like. no jap games plz

    Phantasy Star is not part of the FF series for starters.
    And there are so many types of FF(Action,Turn Based,Strategy)

    i know phantasy star isnt part of ff... what i meant was, can ppl suggest some not well known rpgs, but are great fun to play

    You might want to try Super Robot Wars Original Generation 1 and 2 on the GBA.

    - Sword of Mana
    - Fire Emblem series
    - Tales of Phantasia
    ..... forgot the rest. ;D

    SNES
    - Bahamut Lagoon
    - Feda
    - Treasure Hunter G
    ... also forgot the rest.. ;D

    Chrono Trigger for SNES.

    awesome game. multiple endings. extremely hard final boss.

    Castlevania. GBA
    Metroid. SNES
    Mario. SNES


    Oh and I would'nt recommend Fire Emblem to you. A stage will take you hours to complete.
    Google for "GBA ATLUS games" so you can find good stuff.

    for gba,i think the megaman series will blow you..
    for snes..EARTHBOUND!-i'm playing this game now!he..he..and maybe you should also try secret of mana..and secret of evermore..those two games look almost the same..(except the storyline)he..he..
