Try Cave Story. I'm not exactly sure if it's a homebrew game or a mini though.

My bad. It's not homebrew however. The game has been released on DSiware, so it's actually just a officially released game. I agree that the PSP version is a port however.

I'll add those 2 plus doom 2 as my fav games, the only original psp homebrew game I like is the zelda one mentioned in the first post.

 

Wagic. Wagic The Homebrew is my favorite PSP Homebrew.

 

Cave Story is my favorite perhaps. Haven't really enjoyed anything else. I like to toy with the 3D plugin though. Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters is quite awesome in 3D.
