I have ordered a Memor32 for use with Memento firmware but after reading other topics on the Memor I found it's compatibility rate isn't all that great. I was wondering what you guys would recommend, Im would prefer a solderless solution but if modchips give best results I wouldn't mind as long as they aren't too complex to solder in.

EDIT: Sorry forgot to mention that my PS2 is a "fat" PS2

i heard magicswap works rather well.
and it should work for every game since it swaps.

I heard the "swap card" can lead to damage of the tray. Although it was said to be a rare occurrence. If it proves t be one of the simpler yet still effective methods I think I might actually go for it. Do you know what the MagicSwap Coder is? A new version?

i don't know much about it except that if you buy it, you get some metal pieces to mount in your ps2 that block the sensors.

Thanks for all your help. As for the sensor blocking I heard that was only for PS2 "Slim".

EDIT: Do you know if flip-top covers can be installed into a "fat" PS2?

Magic Swap and card tricks suck, my brother and I paid for a $100 chip, my brother installed it inside the PS2. But this is also quite dangerous to your PS2, but my brother knew what he was doing.

Yea, Modchips usually have the highest compatibility but I'd rather try a solderless option.
Do you know the flip top (V9/V10) can be used on my older version PS2?

i have a fat ps2 and and swap magic is the best, i have had no problems and it so simple.
just a tip, you need to use dvd-r and not +r or you will bust your laser.

Thanks for letting me know. it always helps to have someone who already owns said product to reinforce your decision. Do you have a flip top? Or do you use the "Slide Tool"

Having trouble finding a Magic Swap Coder. Would you guys recommend using the slide tool? i was thinking of getting the fliptop but it seems like a hassle

Do you guys happen to know if www.gocybershop.ca is reliable? It has a pretty good deal but am wondering if its a bit too good to be true.

Canada aye. Looks legit enough. Try googling the URL name with some other words like "www.gocybershop.ca is good" etc., most of the time other people have been asking if it's legit, then you can see what some people said about it.

you said you have a fat ps2 so you'll need the slide tool. i'd sugest getting the latest version of swap magic with the slide to included, all you have to do to your ps2 is take the front of the tray off and all that is, is one screw (i think) and then be careful poping it off, i broke mine but i did't care cause i was never going to put it back on.
the only bad point is it comes with no instructions but there is on the net so you'll have to google it.
