Not sure what you can do with Fraps with it not fully unlocked...

Found some free alternatives for you.

I prefer to use Camtasia since Fraps mainly works on just a certain type of rendering (might be OpenGL or something. I used to use it with just emulators). It doesn't record on-screen stuff, while Camtasia does just about everything.

I knew it was either Direct3D or OpenGL. They're always coupled together when selecting settings, and that's why I always get them mixed up.

I use Camtasia Recorder which works fine but it usually sucks up all of my CPU and it can't record games when it's full screened (e.g. CrossFire) therefore I would try Fraps.

My PC does the same thing. Run it in a window, and adjust the parameters to record the window.
And if you say that you can't run it in a window, get some hack to run it in a window. Everything can be run in a window, you just have to force it.

My Screen Recorder is one of the best screen recording tools. It is extremely easy to use, and creates
standard AVI or Windows Media format files that playback on any PC without conversion. It is perfect for recording video conferencing calls or webinars.
