Best DS ROM Chip?

I've researched over the net and looked for another brand of ROM Chip (I currently own a non-fake model of the R4) but I can't seem to find an actual chip is that good overall.

I wanted to get another R4 chip for my sister (her friend's recently bought her a new DS for her birthday) but "critics" say that R4 should not be bought even if it is a legit one since there are no firmware updates.

I've looked up M3 and the CycloDS because someone recommended those to me a while back just incase my R4 was to have a "freak out".


Are there any other chips that can be purchased online (cheaply please) that have really outstanding quality? Or is M3 or the CycloDS to go?
