cba if YouTube videos can be embedded or not. Just thought any fat people might find this offensive - which is why I'm posting it.

It is considered offensive until you tell us the reason.

There are also a lot of fat people in Belgium (no offense either).

This is a worldwide act. Here in Belguim there is rumor-ish about an extra tax on fat food

The funny part is that most of the Belgian people wanted an extra tax on unhealthy food, but they didn't want to pay for it.

Yeah we have the same thing, I think its happened in Denmark already.
I think its a good idea but only if they have tax breaks on healthy food or it just becomes another way of taking our money.

    I weigh 60kg :p

problem is, healthy food tends to cost more so this is just going to make life harder for people living below the breadline.

    Exactly.

I would definitely eat healthy foods...IF I could afford it. And I can't.

If this happens in America, the jails will be filled. And it's stupid besides that.

Thats why I said give them a tax break, make it a bit cheaper and encourage people to eat healthy, it should balance out if raising taxes on fatty foods.
Ive found the main problem is laziness not cost, healthy foods need preparation whilst fast food is ready now, my dad is the worst he cant be bothered to cook after a days work so goes for the quick option.

I don't think they'd go to jail. The story makes it sound like the work place would be fined with the overweight person being there and then he'd get fined.

I don't know about anyone else but there is no fast food place around where I live so I have to buy all those foods you have to prepare, and honestly, it's not cheap. I can buy three bags of chips and it's almost the same price as fruit.

2DamCerius My eyes for your brain...fair trade.

Just wait until you go to the organic sections in the local markets now those cost way more than regular food. Some people buy into that crap and say it's way better than processed goods while theirs is natural, when really there is no difference because it's all food.
Here in the U.S. just about every corner has a fast food joint right around the block. It's a huge business in this nation.

Here in Brazil, healthy food is cheaper than industrial food. Europe is more expensive because you guys have to import.

That's just silly. If someone is ok with their weight, then leave them be. obviously, some people need encouragement, but penalizing them is out of line.
