I was just curious who has tried it already. i think it is pretty good, there are some glitches that need to be fixed though. the map is huge, i love it. but im hating all the campers in the game. i wonder if it will be worse once the game comes out.

After playing it though, i have decided im getting MW3, im just used to the pace in that game, rushing and all that. but still found it pretty good, probably when i have money ill get this game

I tried the Ps3 beta, i don't like it that much, mainly because i;m a battlefield 1942 fan, so i'm not really into realism lol. Plus i don't have any vehicles like jeeps or anything

yeah, i feel that they should have put a map that used the vehicles at least to try out how that is

I'm absolutely loving the beta, though I agree there is stuff they can fix, which I'm sure will be fixed for the retail version.

    Fantastic.

But I always liked the infantry combat in BF more than anything else because it feels more visceral, so Metro is a good map for me. I love the game so I can't contribute much besides that it's a bit buggy and there's some graphical errors but I'm sure it'll get touched up for release.

As for pacing and stuff, it's a little different from BC2 so for some it'll be a shock. In terms of movement and feel, it's BF2, but for mechanics and some gameplay, it feels like BC2. BF hasn't played like CoD ever, the only things they share is the modern day aesthetic. Once I unlocked some of the team related stuff like defibrillator the game opens up.

so ive been playing alot of the beta. and found out the bugs/glitches are showing up more often than before (on xbox) ive been getting a green flashing screen alot, sometimes changes colors. found out that on the first bombs, on bomb A you can go under the map. sometimes you just fall off the map. Ive become invincible in one game. and another game after spawing i had o% life and kept being hit by noone but still didnt die. sometimes see the bullets stuck on screen (light lines) which cover the whole screen and get so annoying. and a big problem are the freezes or connection errors. I really hope they fix all this , they must fix it, thats the whole point of the beta right?

Yeah there's a couple points where you sink into the ground, and I get the blinking lights as well. The beta apparently uses an older build of the game, so bugs are to be expected.
I've been making good use of the Recon class, I took the scope off the Sniper Rifle, used the regular Irons for awhile, and then switched to an ACOG/PSO low power scope, making it a decent designated marksman rifle, and then I just rock out with my glock out for close quarters.

So you're the type of person who rewards companies fucking you in the ass, huh? The call of duty series is a fucking embarrassment to gaming and the gamers who buy into it. It's the exact same shit reiterated every single time only with some content removed for each iteration. "You want maps? Sweet, we've included an extra two map in this iterations first DLC pack! What? You're asking why we removed two maps from the main game? Well how else would we include them in the DLC? Are you retarded son?"

That said, BF3 isn't all that much better with wanting a slice of the Steam income and forcing Origin on you, it's actually a bit sad that these days I have to but my faith in Counter Strike to get a good FPS game.

lol, yeah he does. but i really dont mind its his opinion. he hates CoD, i like it. i respect his opinion in game choice, he should with mine. :)

Well yes, I can respect his opinion, just the way he voices it is outright rude. I happen to like CoD, and I am not a fan of people such as himself insulting fans like myself and others for liking the series and having a different opinion.

If people cannot defend their own opinions then they're not worth talking to anyway. Sadly the majority of today's youth seem to be stupid enough to fall for marketing gimmicks and identical reiterations. If you happen to like that then that's perfectly fine, but I'm sure as hell going to call you a retard for it unless you can argue very well why you actually like buying the same game at $60 every year. Especially with CoD as you get a smaller game every year.

If you expect to be mollycoddled and told that whatever opinion you have is super bright and fully understandable then you're definitely in the wrong place.

Of course, you're welcome to give back of the same shelf, I'm not dishing out anything I cannot take, if you can argue why me spending $60 on buying a game like Starcraft 2 or why playing a game like Urban Terror for free is stupid then feel free.

I'm not asking for people to understand or like my opinion, just respect it. Anyways, I do agree they're all pretty much the same game, yes, I do agree with that. But you know what, have you thought that maybe, just maybe, people ENJOY the games? I still have fun with them, the CoD games have given me many many hours of fun and games with friends, or even just by myself.

You could just, you know, keep playing the old CoD games? A new CoD being released does not invalidate all the old ones, hell, my primary FPS game was released before the first Counter Strike... The whole "must-buy" zombie mentality is the whole reason you're getting screwed over with every reiteration.

Well its not like I never touch the old ones after the new ones come out, but I go for the new ones because, contrary to your belief, while there isn't a whole lot different from all the previous entries with each new one, each one still offers a fun and exciting new single player campaign, as well as new multiplayer features, and of course everybody else is going to be going for the new one.

Anyways... To get back on topic, I read that the purpose of this beta is mainly to check the whole "My Soldier" and game statistics thing, and that it uses an older build of the game, hence the bugs and graphics.
