Hey guys, I need help regarding some roms I downloaded from this site. My machine's a Macbook with an Intel chipset with a Tiger 10.4.11 Operating System, and I'm using Visual Boy Advance 1.7.4 for the Mac. I downloaded Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Tactics Ogre: Knights of Lodis and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising, and everytime I try to save, it refuses to save. It says saving failed or the like. Now I'm wondering if this has anything to do with some in game battery that's not working right. Coz I noticed that in my games that DO save, everytime I start them up, there's a small message in red at lower left of the screen saying "battery loaded", which does not appear on those 3 games I mentioned. If so, how do I get the battery to work or the game to start saving? I've tried other Rom sites but I get the same results. Is it my machine that has a problem then? Really appreciate your help on this. Peace.

Nope, still doesn't work. I don't think the issue here is the clock or what not, coz I don't think the clock would be able to work i the first place if the battery's on the fritz :-\

    try this ,

in the menu bar of the emulator,

choose - options - emulator - save type

then you should see flash 64k and 128k, one of them is checked so click on the one that has no check, close your emulator then try it again

I've read this somewhere else, a guy having problems saving his game on Tactics Ogre, but FFTA & Advanced Wars ???

Anyway, have you tried setting save type to "automatic", then size is 64k?, That's the standard & it works for me

So what I said might be the solution to his problem

No go, friends. Apparently my emulator doesn't even have a save option. The only options are open rom, close rom, configure keys, add gameshark codes and look for gameshark codes. Well, there's the preference pane also, but I already looked through that, and there's nothing on saving at all. MAybe it's got something to do with the emulator version, being in a mac and all. Coz I remember that on my old windows comp my VBA had that option, but it's nonexistent here :-\ Now you mentioned that someone also had trouble with his FFTA game, so is it possible that the ROM file's the problem there? Coz all my other roms are working perfectly.

it is extremely unlikely to be the rom, more likely it is a poor emulator (people never pay much attention to mac users.)
