    Hey,
So I got an Ipod Touch 1G and when I checked it at 5 am, the battery was almost full. I put it on stand-by (Or however you call it, didn't put it off) and when I checked it now at 13.40, it was empty. It was off, so I think the battery had died a few hours ago. The Light setting is at the lowest, so how can it be that the battery is so quick empty? I never had that.
It's not jailbreaked and Wifi is off.

    Thanks in Advance!

Have you tried charging it again since? Ipods seem to have bad batteries a lot, so you may have just gotten one from a bad batch.

You could buy a new battery...

It's best to avoid buying a new battery if you don't need to. It's easiest if you have a touch with the little screws in the bottom for easy access. Older Touches are nearly impossible to get open without a tool specifically designed to get between the edges and gently pry it open.

Fun fact: My old iPod that needs a new HD only opened when my friend accidentally dropped it and the corner connected the carpet.

don't, you'll void the warranty. You could try sending it off for a warranty repair.

The best way to know is to go to the Apple site, navigate through the mess to the repair area, enter the serial code thing on the iPod and hope that the "You're still under warranty!" thing pops up.

But isn't there an app or something that drains the battery life?
And I already have send it once, because it was broke, I got a new one, but I but I didn't got a ticket or something. I just could make one. So I think it isn't a year old... (Weeeeird post.)

Try for the warranty then. It's your best bet. I don't personally know much about the Touch, as I don't, and have never owned one. Well, I owned an old, broken 1st or 2nd gen iPhone for awhile, but I sold it for $50 (I got it for free).

... I just charged my Ipod until it was full, changed the language, and when I put it in my comp, it was charging... That isn't normal...

Its meant to charge when plugged into your computer... If you look you'll probably notice that the plug that goes from ipod to computer is the same as your charger. (On the ipod end!)

I remember having a cord that plugged into my psp, my mobile, and my mp4 player.. lol..

I think what the person is saying is that in an already full charge, she put it in and it started charging again.

you have to change battery, just go to the apple store and they change it to you. because you said youve had it for an year, right. this is a really common problem with ipods. batteries are not too good, specially if you didnt use them correctly (like charging them too much, or not letting the battery die before you start charging it)
