Banning Petition

--Seeing as this is the support forum, I have decided to post this here. If this is the wrong place, I deeply apologise and request this topic moved.

As some of you may have seen (though most likely a small number) a certain user has been posting vulgar comments on a number of NDS comment boxes.
That user is recoomeboom. I could tolerate and ignore it after the first 2, but this must stop. He has given false and inapropriate reviews, posted racist/discrimative questions, and said vulgar & idiotic comments.
Three examples of this are NDS ROMs #4306, 4316, and 4322. 2/3 of these comments have been deleted already, but this is not the way to stop a repetive abuser.
This is why I have decided to creat a petition to have this user banned. To all who agree, I welcome you to vote yes. Those who disagree, or believe I am overreacting, feel free to vote no.
I realize that this will not determine said user's fate, for that responsibility is our moderators power alone. But if they see fit to grant this request, then I am grateful.

A comment abuser-all sites with comments have this sort of issue.

Slim hacks always have idiots like this.

BTW-this could have went into site support-but it'll be read all the same-and prehaps moved if need be.

If you feel a user has been acting inappropriately, then you can use the "Report to moderator" on Forum posts.
If there are comments you believe are bad, make a post here in the Site Support forum with the User name and the game which the comment was made in.

I have to also request that you do not use colors and weird fonts while posting. Stick to the default when making a post. Formatting and colors should be used only for emphasis of key phrases or words, or when structuring a layout like in a tutorial.

I missed it in the first post. It's recoomeboom.
I have deleted many of his posts and comments. He is on the warning list, very high up too. Other moderators have had to deal with him.

I have upped his warning level to the point where he can no longer post. I will be recommending he be removed from the site.

 

I apologise for my formatting, Tirith. And I usually like to report users (though I'd rather none needing to be reported at all) in an organized way, other than the report button. I've had bad experiences with administrators ignoring reports on other sites.. even when others feel the same. (Sorry for comparing this site to others; it's better here) I just hope I have addressed this matter in a respectful way. And thank you for your compliance mds64. Im glad this topic has done some good. Here's to a successful future for Romulation.

EDIT: I will try to use the report button from now on, but that is impossible to do for users in the chatbox. I thank you for taking care of this problem; and as I said, I'm happy this topic had some use. Also, you may rarely see me on the forums anyway, but I shall try to weave out any unruly users whenever I AM on the forum. Also, thank you for catching me before I posted yet again, Apocolyptica. If this topic has served its purpose, may I request it be closed.

 

The report button lets every Moderator and Admin see a bad post without having to browse to which ever forum the topic happens to be in. And you can fill out a small blurb about why it is being reported.

It's the best way to get the attention of the moderators.

And I rarely get to see an active report. They are almost always taken care of right away, someone else always gets to press the buttons

 

And boy does it work.

Also as Loony stated they do not ignore anything here and too add if by chance the situation warrants they (Admin/Mods) are respectful to move conversations to private messaging and not plaster it all over the boards, or thats what I have seen from personal experience.

 

They are good mods here-nearly all I know here do things professionally and done in a fair way.

But becuase there isn't one every hour-some time might be needed.

If I were a mod prehaps I can reduce the time...but of course I haven't earnt such a right-I just tell user's to adjust themselves before trying the button-which I have yet to have any need for.

 

You can also report things like racism/abuse to who hosts the respective board/forum.But Im sure Tirith etc try to keep everything fair and proper for each member.

 

Have to agree Sheith. These comments are a totally "no go", especially because the Romu Community doesn`t stand for vulgar flaming/swearing and all this childish Crap. This Site doesn`t deserve such comments in the Download-section.

 

Ahh.. yet another who agrees with me. I see from your comment in Nostalgia that he posted yet another vulgar comment. Let me guess, it was the one where he posted a false ability in Animal Crossing?
Let's hope he is banned soon. (Even if that is a dissapointing thing to wish on another user.)

EDIT: Heh... it seems our wait is over. Lets hope there wont be any other abusive users in the future.

 

He was banned awhile ago but he could still post comments for whatever reason. Its fixed now though so there shouldn't be any further issues with him.
