I am on a slow connection...and when i download files larger than, say, 10 MB i often hang after a few minutes. The only way to get my download going again is to use the "x" in the corner to close the download window and retry. It usualy picks up where it left off. So after my 3rd attempt to get a Rom, I found myself banned from downloading. I find this extremly frustrating and unfair to those of us with slow connections. If I could afford a faster connection, I would be playing the newest games. As it is now, I guess I am stuck with yahoo games.

Does it say you are banned, or does the download keep failing? It may just be that the server still sees your first connection active and doesn't allow your new try to go through because you are only allowed one download at a time.

that just means it thinks your previous download is still in progress. I suggest you use a download manager, and if you still encounter the problem, wait a minute or two between retries.

I will try a download manager......I have gotten to 62% and had it hang....and that took almost 20 minutes.

First off, I don't know what internet browser you are using. I suggest Fire Fox if you don't already have it. Fastest, safest web browser. As for a download manager, I use the one called "DownThemAll". It's a good one and it works very well.

I actually live in a sort of slow internet town but It's never REAL bad.

Yes we support download managers, and we don't ban for downloading no matter what, unless you spread your personal links so we detect multiple people downloading.

We do however limit the amount of connections allowed and if a download is cut-off then there can be problems with it not being released properly. We are working to fix this (or loony is, so it will probably be a few years before it will be ready. :p)
