I just saw this neat little FREE MMO Fighting game featured on a local IT show here & it got me intrigued, so I downloaded it, installed it & I tried it & though it's a bit buggy it is DAMN GOOD! Bangu Bang Mania! -> http://www.bangubangmania.com/frontPage/ Is a little neat Online Beat 'em up game kinda like Smash Bros., except with cute little robots you can customize with different body parts & weapons kind of like Medabots & once you're ready it's time to KILL! KILL! KILL!!!! After you initially create you first Bangu (that's what your robot is called) you can then create a battle room of your own or join other players' created rooms. These rooms are essentially either a versus battle room where you can have 1 on 1 battles or a 2 on 2 or even a 3 on 3 battle with other players who are in the same room. The other mode a room can have is an adventure room with upto three people can join together in an adventure, I'm not yet sure how these adventures are, maybe a platformeresque type of adventure because I got cut off because my internet's acting up again. But what struck me as a surprise is that this game was produced by an all Filipino team which totally blew away my mind! A sample video of the gameplay during its Alpha phase. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgBiPMkw_88 3 on 3 PvP battle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmJ7pBqbDbo UPDATE: My darned internet is still acting up but I had a quick go at the Adventure Mode setting, what it is is a kind of survival mode kind of game where you & up to two other players try to beat up as many drone robots that come at you in waves until the clock runs out, the faster you kill said robots will net you more money you use to buy robot parts & weapons as well as gaining experience points that help in leveling up your mini minion. BAD NEWS EVERYONE:« Last Edit: Wednesday April 29, 2009, 10:24:47 PM by Cahos Rahne Veloza Currently the game's server is down for maintenance, it's actually been down for two weeks now :'( EDIT yet again: Not anymore, the game is ON! Fellas!
No, didn't you look at the Youtube video links? ??? As I said, think Medabots, ok now think Smash Bros. multiple online Fighting system... Got it?
Sorry for the double post, but I just have to BUMP this thread Just a few days after I posted that notice that this game's server is once again up & running & was only operational during a set amount of time, the admins of the game have decided to start hosting the game again 24/7! YAY! But for now they're doing it to stress test the PC (or what ever server computers are called) to see if it can handle the strain for 24 hours a day non stop! So what are you waiting for!? Please try the game out, I promise you it's loads of fun And yeah, here's my little fighter so you can spot me in game, if ever I get to play that much though: His name's kinda long so it doesn't quite show well on the screenie there, but it's actually "Cahos Mk69 Tartarus Custom".
Sorry for the extremely late response, it is on the pipeline but currently it only recieves input via keyboard. The controls are fairly simple: A - makes your robot go to the left, double tap to dash left. D - same as A but you go to the Right W - Jump, you can double jump by pressing on D twice. As for hover type legs W activates the hover legs W then double press A or B - To do an air dash S - Block or defensive stance Number Pad keys: I - Left Arm weapon 2 - Right Arm weapon 3 - Back weapon F1-F4 Energy repair canister usage.
i was but im keep getting a "cannot connect to server" message i left a post on the bangu forum but i haven't gotten a response yet i just got in, the game is pretty cool. im terabot, my bot name is T-1000
Let's set up a duel date then I usually log onto the game at around 10PM local time, that's 2PM RomUlation Forums time.
Hmm, it's like Virtual-On except it's a 2D bot fighter and the customisation is bigger, also Virtual-On is only online multiplayer on Xbox Live. Looks lame Virtual-On is awesome.
@KoGM777: Calculate the time difference between the time where you are & the time shown here on the forum, if the forum's clock is synchronized with the actual time in your location then go to your profile > forum settings/layout then look at how much time it shows is added to the forum's clock to synch with your location. Add or subtract that to the actual time to get the actual forum's time. Example: As I said the time here is 8 hours ahead of the forum, so now it's 7:41AM here, minus 8 hours & it's 11:41PM RomUlation time. @CJ: Give the fellas who made this game a break, this IS their first game, they're not like Nintendo or Square-Enix you know.
The game is hosted locally here in the Philippines yes, but you can download & play it where ever in the world you are just like KoGM777 is doing. The only two downsides for you outside the country are: 1. You can't get Cash shop credits because as I said, the game is hosted here & I don't know if LoadCentral (Google it) sells credits outside the country. It isn't that bad though, all of the other Robot parts & weapons you buy with Dines (that's the game's in-game currency you earn after battles) are pretty good by themselves. 2. You won't acquire "rare" event weapons which are like Nintendo event Pokemon you would get from an organized Nintendo event like Celebii back when Gold/Silver/Crystal were still around. These weapons aren't that great though, according to the guys on BBM's forums, but rarities are rarities afterall.
Virtual-on was originally created in 1995 for the Sega Saturn! A slightly newer version but not the latest, the graphics haven't changed much since then http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8lTwml-C4Pc
