I heard about the new rules for comments, especially the no sexuality one, and I'm very glad that this is happening. But what about sexual ads? When I log in, on the member page, there is a rude ad that keeps appearing. Also, while logged in, when I go to the downloads page, there is a rude ad that appears on the top banner. If the IT manager could fix this ASAP, then I will not delete my account. Thanks
After several hundred refreshes, the most "rude" thing I found was the advertisement for the True online dating service. That is a very conservative image that definitely does not violate the PG-13 guideline in the Forum Rules, so I see nothing wrong with it. Also, there really is no need to threaten to delete your account.
Hmm that's odd. I don't see ANY ads and I don't have Adblock, and I've allowed romulation on Noscript. ...Or are we talking about the non-forum section?
Maybe Seph can check the scripts or something. Sometimes ad agencies try to sneak stuff through. But just so you know, some things that you might consider "risque" are still considered PG-13.
We run no adult ads at the moment. I have no control over the "script" I can disable ads in my publisher account but that's all, I'll remove some if I see some bad ones, but you'll probably have to notify me about them as I can't keep watch over it all the time.
...normally, I would consider this a free site, considering the nature of what we download... But there are many parents who come here to download games for thier kids, and thier kids may see these images... And funny enough, other than me, they are the reason why the technical help is the most used part of the site, in myu opinion XD But regardless...there are kids surfing here on thier own...and while we can't stop them getting GTA on ds, we can stop them from looking at THAT sort of thing, eh?
