    what is up with that?!

most people out there are really into anime and would love to see their fave anime shows and mangas turned into games.

so here we are expecting it sooner or later...

THEN WE SEE IT'S IN JAPANESE!

    (no offense to the japanese)

but not all people can read japanese! i'm friggin' annoyed!!!!

    argh!

can't they like, put a language selector or just make it english?!
there's more percentage of the world who can read english than japanese!
    arrrrrghhhhh.
    at first this was fine.
i got annoyed A LITTLE when i saw Nodame Cantabile in japanese, since it was playable even if you don't understand it, but you lose the whole point of the game.
then i saw VAMPIRE KNIGHT and OURAN HIGH SCHOOL HOST CLUB have a game!!!
    that was so awesome!!!

    ...

until i saw it was in japanese.
    ARGHHHHH!!
anyone who shares this annoyed feeling with me??? :-[
    geez. :-\

    Yes I do
There was game for Gintama and Soul Eater (both great animes)
it looks like they only translate the popular animes (which aren't the best) like naruto, bleach, one piece, FMA

I mean why don't they teach us Japanese at school?
Instead of learning other languages, I have to learn a dead language: latin
    >_>

Latin is a fantastic language to learn; I shouldn't have to explain why. But if your school doesn't offer Japanese language courses, you should attend a better school. It's a fairly important language, but I do find it pretty unfortunate that most people who take advantage of its offering on a high school level do it solely so that they can watch animes without subs.

Saying "awesome anime games" is kind of an oxymoron though. The only awesome anime game I've ever played, off the top of my head, is Tales of Symphonia.

I know that latin is fantastic language( its going to be 4 years im learning it, so I have to appreciate it)
but I want to learn Japanese not only to watch animes but to expand my language dictionnary
I could say that I'm fully fluent in 4 languages
I want to learn spanish, japanese and if possible german

    Yea it's a bit dissappointing.
I guess it's because they know the Japanese public will like it, and there will be a boom of sales, whereas in places like, say, Australia, there would not be so much rushing out to buy it.

...the reason why these games are only in japanese are, in the case of Jump Ultimate Stars, licensing issues (over in the west, all those characters are owned by diffeent companies, where's in japan all in one).

In other cases sales are too poor to bother to translate since that cost money, or because the west may not be aware of such an awsome series, or lack of exposure is one thing (I know D gray man or what ever the name is popular and has anime in english here, but the general public, which includes me, has no clue of this kinda stuff XD).

It's all about sales, like as Cloudboii12 was saying (yeah australia sucks with this kinda thing and I should KNOW!)

Do you think Canada is any better? XD

    One word: Hentai.
Well, all the good hentai games seem to be untranslated/ unsubbed anyways. I see sites like mirrormoon make an effort to patch these games (most notable Fate Stay Night), but, again, the breadth of great Japanese games is overwhelming.
I'm still waiting for an English version of Jump Ultimate Stars. :/

I dont think they're going to translate these games, cause cause alot of people say it's "unmoral" to play these games

Well then tell me why Ubisoft Montreal who made the Prince of Persia series, Splinter Cell, and some more
translated the games in English? (Montreal's in Quebec, the only french place in America)
this world is so unfair :'(
