Avid gamer, musician and reader greets all warmly

    Hey, Hey, Hey,

    Yo all, I'm nearly at the end of yr 12 (end of high school) and I'm about 4 months off 19

    Joined about a week ago or something and I think this site is awesome! Seriously guys, keep up the fantastic work!
    I'm only on dial up (EPIC FAIL) cause well it would be a lot of trouble to get broadband. I'll get it soon.

    Aside from gaming n' school I'm a musician. I'm currently the lead vocalist for an Upwey (Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) based Grunge/Rock band.
    Before them I've done some guest recording for metal and rock bands. I'm hoping to start up a ska band next year with some mates.
    Also next year I may or may not be doing a Musical Theatre course at the Victorian College of the Arts. (REALLY good arts uni)
    Oh and yes of course I'm an Aussie (Hoorah for spelling words the right way!) and a Bookworm.
    I mostly read fantasy though; The inheritance trilogy (Paolini), the Farseer, Liveship and Tawny Man series (Hobb), the Black Magician trilogy (Canavahn) and the Dark Matter trilogy (Pullman) are just a few of my favourites. (<--- It says I've spelt it wrong ;) )

    I'm a great lover of metal to listen to, In Flames, Rise Against, System of a Down, Scars on Broadway, APC and Tool are my current most listened to.
    Uh, I play guitar, cello, violin, drums and I sing. Oh and a little piano :p

    Currently I am gaming FE8 (Fire Emblem: Stones) and loving it :D

    My parents are both life long muso's so I started real young, I only picked up guitar this year n I have to say it's my favourite instrument
    Aside from singing of course. Bands are heaps of fun and trust me, you never regret it, even if the band disintegrates (My old Rage Against the Machine Band kicked me out last year). If one of us tours in the other's country we should get together and jam (never let a jam session op. get away, my No.1 tip)

    I used to play the drums in band in my last year of High School, was awesome fun. :)
    It was really too bad I had to sell my drum kit not long ago. =/

    Welcome. In flames is my favourite band. I'm technically in a band right now, but we aren't doing anything because everyone is busy with their own stuff but soon we will get back into it. I'm a vocalist of a Melodic Death Metal band. haha. So it's fun. Good to see you're into the whole thing too. Welcome Hope you enjoy it here.

    In Flames are playing in the biggest metal fest in my state next Feb.
    AND I'M GOING TO GO SEE THEM!!! Should be awesome!
    Melodic has to be my favourite anything. I get what you're saying about not doing anything; my grunge/rock band have had like three rehearsals that everyone's been at because of my exams and other school stuff. Sometimes there just isn't enough hours in a day.

    Oh I forgot to mention...

    I am a huge fan of pokemon, I must confess. I also love TBSs like Fire Emblem and FF Tactics. And FFX
    My final EXTREMELY geeky confession is that I also adore Magic: The Gathering cards.
    Basically I love strategy games. 8)

    Anyhoo thankyou all for the extremely warm welcome and I'm glad to see there are so many muso/gamers in the world ;)
