So here I am listening to music on Winamp. I noticed that whenever images on the screen move, my speakers crackle, such as when I scroll up or down on a website, or when I watch a video. But the audio doesn't crackle when I watch a video and also listen to the audio from the video, rather than from Winamp. Sometimes after it crackles a lot, my sound only comes out of a side speaker or a rear speaker. I use a Xonar D1 sound card. It never happened on my onboard sound or on my old sound card. Does anyone know what's wrong and if there's any way to fix it?
I can't find where it says Winamp's output device, but I know my computer's default is "Speakers (ASUS Xonar D1 Audio Device)". Of course they're all plugged in all the way. It seems the crackling comes directly from the sound card. Also, when I raise the sample rate of the sound card, the crackling is even greater.
Nullsoft DirectSound Output v2.49 (d) [out_ds.dll] I have no idea. And if I have no idea, the answer is probably no. Edit: Here's a picture.
Well it kind of stopped a while ago for no reason. But switching to waveout makes no difference at high sample rates either.
