my asus laptop overheats after about five-10 minutes of use. i dont have any registry issues or corrupt drivers or viruses, so do you think the problem may be dust in my computer? and will condensed airspray adequately fix this problem? or do you think i should just send it in... i have a two year warranty that i payed extra for and it is supposed to cover basically everything. i got it from newegg so i should send it in to them?
Canned air will certainly help. Blast the vents out while the laptop is turned off. (also don't aim directly into the vent, go at an angle so the air can push the dust out.
I've got this problem. The fans don't start up when required unless on boot for some reason. Try restarting your laptop after about two minutes of running, and the fan should start working. I'm unsure why it's doing that, maybe it's been knocked or the Win7 install has borked something. I'll check the BIOS later on tonight.
