ASUS G73jh Crashing Issue

    Hey everyone,

Nearly a year ago, I had bought a Notebook Computer, the ASUS G73jh. It is a great laptop and I love it!
But a while ago (maybe 5 months?), it started experiencing an issue that happens when I'm playing a game or am doing something that is processor/graphics demanding. It would randomly turn off without warning and would be unable to be turned back on for about a minute after wards (In fact it just happened, I was using a video editing program and it was rendering the video).
I have called the ASUS Support line and they told me to update the BIOS and that the update should fix the problem (the updated BIOS has a setting to maximize the fan speed if necessary). I did so but the crashing continues to happen regardless.
This is getting super annoying, does anyone have any ideas how to fix this issue or do something to minimize the times it happens?

    Thanks!

sounds like overheat protection. make sure the cooling vents are free from dust and consider buying a cooling pad.

I have opened it up and cleared both fan vents of dust and what-not using a compressed air can. I have also purchased a cooling pad as well... And it is in a well ventilated area too.... :( But it persists to happen...

I would assume so? They are on now and speed up quite drastically when the machine gets hot.
