Arm7 patch help

    Can some1 tell me how to patch a game? I saw a video on youtube,but it didnt work! I am using an r4 and trying to patch Grand Theft Auto-Chinatown

    I am having the same issue with Grand Theft (and Age of Empires: Mythologies). I also get the "cannot save ... reinsert cart ... etc." error. I have followed instructions posted here in the forum) but still haven't succeeded.

    I have replaced the Arm7 file using DSBuff, and i have used Max Overload 1.2 as a patcher as well.

    I still get the same error message.

    If someone has another suggestion for me, i would very much appreciate it. I think i have followed all the steps required .... i think!

    Please read this thread https://www.romulation.org/forum/index.php?topic=14970.0 :) If you can't do it, look for a pre-patched version in the same thread, or the NDS Trading Station.

    i went to the thread to download the fixed ROM, but the file is no longer available at that location :(

    Where might i find the NDS Trading Post?

    Most Games that come up with this message, "Save data cannot be accessed, Please Restart" means that the game needs to be patched..

    We will be using the Max Crass Method to patch this rom..

    First of all, download this pack containing:

    DSLazy
    Max Overload 1.2
    arm7.bin
    README.rtf

    go to http://holidaygamerz.zoomshare.com/files/MaxCrassMethod.zip to Download

    Next, we will extract this to a convenient place (Desktop for instance)

    Open DSLazy which is in the DSLazy folder..

    Click the ... button and browse for your Name Of Rom Here.nds file.. Click OK

    Click on NDS UNPACK and that will bring up a folder..

    Next, we have to copy the arm7.bin file into this folder that has popped up.. Replace the one that is already there..

    Next, we will click on NDS PACKER and choose a place to re-pack that folder (desktop again for example)

    Done this will work. It does for me

    I found the Trading Station ... i hadn't bothered to look closely enough ... duh! :p

    The two games that i couldn't fix i found there. :)
