Are Vampires real?

This a dumb topic, I know but let me elaborate

As a kid I was always been fascinated by Vampires, I was only ever afraid of them when I saw my first ever Dracula film, the one starring Vincent Price.

Anyway, I have always loved vampires & if they were real, would actually want to become one.

But I don't really care for the "classical, theatrical Castlevania-ish" vampires mind you. I won't care if they didn't fly & turn into bats or shoot fire or any of the other visualisations man has given vampires through the years, I only care for the blood sucking & immortality part

 

hmmm.. want to become one huh heheh. hahaha.. then who will you first kill

Become a vampire? True that eternal youth and power beyond comprehension does sound fascinating...but would you want to share all that with your relatives or friends? Because if you remain immortal, the consequence is to watch them grow old and die. Now, put that logic into your fantasy and think again.

 

It's a big sacrife to see your friends & family wither & die right before your eyes & even without immortality, you can witness this cycle of life & death, so yes, I will sacrifice that.

Besides nothing in this world is absolutely free, everything has to cost something right?

 

In a sense vampires do exist, they just aren' immortal nor can they turn to bats. They're basically goths that suck blood

Count Dracula wasn't a vampire, he was a really scary, mean old guy that livved in pennsylvania

Anyway the real count Dracula "Count Vladimir", I forgot his last name was an actual European noble of sorts who puts up the dead bodies of his enemies by stabbing them onto tall poles & have them bleed to death, some rumors about him drinking the blood of his fallen enemies gave rise to the vampire myth/legend

I think I know the forbidden baneful magick ritual that loony mentioned, was it the same ritual the chinese use to make kyon-shis, you know chinese zombies?

I doubt western witchcraft would resort to attaching paper talismans on their dead but I have no idea besides Chinese horror flicks always made me laugh I mean seriously vampires that hop with both hands streching forward damn funny

 

What about Haitian Voodoo, oops hope there's no one from haiti here whom I offended, if there are please forgive me

 

was it the one where people wil give some unsuspecting victim something which puts them into a death-like state, where they then get taken to a cemetery and are about to get buried (out of sight from everyone) then the victim comes back to life and gets put to work on a plantation as a slave and there isn't much anybody can do about it because they are legally dead and dead people have no rights...

 

being Vamprie is good...but being weakness to sun is a bad thing.......

Calvin, didn't you know that modern conceptualisations of Vampires state that vampires no longer turn to dust from sunlight exposure? Modern adaptations show vampires who can walk in the day, but for limited times only, they no longer fear garlic or crucifixes & can actually control the need for blood

i dont really watch angel or any of the title that you mention.....

but Vampire in Under World, Blade and Super Natural still have the same weakness as the old vampire....

the stuff's a powder based on puffer fish poison which is quite deadly. In japan where puffer fish is a delicacy you need a lisence to be able to serve one XD. well anyway after the poison is injested the body is buried, and because of oxygen deprivation it causes the brain to go haywire thus the zombie like state.

The poison replicates signs of death but its normally just a coma so that's why in japan if someone gets poisoned by puffer fish they leave the body out for a week before declaring him dead

 

i have loved a good vampire story ever since i saw vampire hunter D which also sparked my collection of anime.
the whole idea that you would be sad to see family and friends die is rubbish you wouldn't care, the majority of vamp stories show that you become more like a demon losing all compassion for man and seeing them more like cattle, your friends and family would be the first people you'd kill as they will be easy targets.
and immortality, nothing could be more boring, you'd do everything and see everything and screw everything and then whats left..... forever that's what. it sounds crap to me.

as regards to real vampires there is a condition that some people have which means something is missing from their blood making them very pale and burn in the sunlight almost immediately and altho not recommended by doctors (mainly because they want you to buy pills) those people benefit from drinking blood as it replaces what is missing.
then again there is goths who think they are vampires but that's just sad.

blood is actually addictive and is almost like a drug, if you drink it you do feel hyped up and stronger and you do get withdrawal symptoms. i know because when i was a teen i tried it for a while, i had a girl friend that was a self harmer and it seemed to be a good idea at the time. looking back at it now it was a bit stupid but it was an experience to say the least, and the sex was allot better too. just to let you know I DID NOT THINK I WAS A VAMPIRE

if you like vampire stories i would suggest you read the vampire novels written by Ann Rice. they are the best vampire tales i have ever read. if you can't be bothered to read them two of her books were made in to films
