As you all well know, I'm planning on buying a ps3.

Thing is...if I wanted to can my save data be transfered?

Reason why is I'm buying this system for the family, but when I move out...the little brother wants to keep it and thus a second cheaper ps3 might be considered.

So...can I do this and how, would a simple usb device (prehaps in fat32) work?

I'm pretty sure a USB Flash Drive should do it. This guy had issues though: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=409956

Ah, thank you all for your replies :)

This topic is finished, unless someone on the mod team has any other words to add, this can be locked...

FYI PS3 save file is PSN locked. so save file from other PSN user will not work on your PSN, even it work, you cannot earn any trophy for it.

also some save file are locked (like Dragon Age Origin's savefile), so you cannot copy them, but i been told that you can backup them using PS3 backup utility.

I don't really plan on going online with mine...but I did already assume that some might be system locked like certain...wii titles :(

So with some I can use them on another, but no trophy's ?
