Mods, please move if this is in the wrong section

Well... I suddenly thought about this subject... And it sure does pique my interest...
So yes, if someone uses weapons to kill, are they cowards? I mean, humans created guns to kill quicker, right?
So does that mean that humans, are, in a way, cowards?

That depends on how they use it.

    I don't think so though.
They just wants to find a faster and easier way to kill.

For example when you're in a war, you would rather kill your enemies faster instead of keep punching them for dunno how long until they died right ?

If killing someone quickly, with a weapon is deemed cowardly,
would killing someone slowly, with your bear hands make you brave?

Coward, huh... It still takes bravery to kill someone at all, don't ya think?

i don't like weapons......it reaps someone of their life unjustly and there is no battle to route for someone :p

i wish we can go back in the times where martial arts is our greatest weapon.....the world is slowly coming to end and human are the ones at blame....what will they create next?!?

Weapon's were essential for human survival and still are in some parts of the world.

Weapons are essential to war, unless you want to get mowed down by a hailfire of machine-gun turrets? or would you prefer to just choke a million man army to death?....i think i would use the machine-gun....

Weapons in war are an advantage. It's just another way that the world advances.

    On another note...
Weapons were made to protect people, but also mainly to hunt for food.

A knife is meant to cut/skin/kill an animal, not for the savage slaughtering of one's own family.

    Mmmm... Yes...
Although think of it this way: What if the guy who wants to kill wiith a spear, yet hes bad at aiming? What if the guy notices hes being targeted and throws the knife back? How about if he (the killer) wanted to kill from a distance? Doesn't that make it easier with guns?

    its depend

if you are in a war or you are in self defense then no, you are not coward, however if you use weapon to attack a harmless people like a guy robing an old lady with a gun, then yes you are a coward.

    Agreed.

It's the reason that makes you cowardly.

EVen without a weapon, king hitting someone just because they told you a bad joke is cowardly in my book.

You have a good point there...
    So... anyone else?
I mean, think of what happend in the 9/11, right? That was because of terrorists sent to threaten others, namely Americans, right? Ain't that cowardly?

Bombing and nuking cities, killing unarmed civilians, planting bombs in civilian buildings... that's cowardly.
Facing enemy who is also armed with a gun isn't cowardly at all :p

If a person fails to withstand stress + pressure while facing a situation and is affected negatively in that way, then maybe we can call him a coward. A coward facing an enemy will probably beg for his life or tries to run away because he has lost the ability of confronting his situation due to fear. Using a weapon in battle is more logical and more efficient than using bare hand, so I don't see how that is a cowardy act.
