are N64 Roms still illegal?

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by Snowflake10000, Aug 24, 2010.

  1. Because N64 roms are so old, and nintendo must on seen them when they took off NDS, are they not illegal anymore?

I really don't know. But they shouldn't even care about games that are 10 years old and they no longer sell

They are still illegal as Loony said. So, you'll be waiting a LONG ASS time before you can download an N64 rom from a site legally. :p

But don't worry about it, in the course of all of this copyrighting crap, not a SINGLE downloader has been sued for grabbing rom images. Uploaders have though.

All ROM's are illegal and will be illegal for a very long time. When you're 80, if you still really want N64 games (and assuming Nintendo doesn't renew the copyright), you can then legally download them for free.

Unless ofc the OP is 79 at the moment which I doubt.
And if he's 15 the world will (hopefully) be a much cooler place with better and cheaper games to play than anything around today.
I call dibs on Interactable video games. When you get hit you really get hit :p

WOW! That's incredible! But what's the sense of making it so long after the person has died?! I'm just thinking of the old saying of you can't take it with you.

So the heirs can make more free money.

Less their heirs and more the companies they worked for/founded. Disney didn't want to lose the rights to Mickey Mouse (and the others) when Walt died.

  19. its always illegal. But seph and the others wont rat no one out... So yeh. Nobody can see what your downloading from here unless it becomes a big problem with the ISP. which is unlikely.
