Almost every large corporation uses child labor, why single out Apple? Blame Coca Cola, Nike, Walmart, GAP and whoever else uses child labor. I don't see child labor as much as a bad thing as people make it out to be, child labor is good for the economy, but that's from my perspective. I'm not able to empathize with those working in the factories. If you enjoy your coca cola being a dollar twenty five a can, thank child labor for that, it's them that make the prices the way it is. Also: http://www.forandagainst.com/Child_Labour_Could_Be_A_Good_Thing_In_Developing_Countries Not an article but a debate site, I think there's good points on either side, although the negative side seems to have more people that don't know what they're talking about and/or don't explore the entire idea of child labor. In point, it's a good and bad thing, depending on perspectives you can see it either way or both. rjsec, it seems to me that you're extremely butt hurt by Apple, judging by your last topic and how you told people to lock it after a comment I made, I made you butt hurt as well. That isn't too hard.
I don't think child labour itself is a bad thing. No, I'm more concerned about the deplorable conditions of the workplace and also how work may interfere with a youth's education. For the latter, I would propose that youths would be able to work certain hours as to not interfere with school. In America, such alws are already in place, albeit for minors who are sixteen years of age and older. (Sixteen where I live, anyway. It may be different in other counties.) Anyway... So, uh... Debate?
China's so massive and spans so many economic stratae that some parts of China are on par with and could technically be classed as developing areas. Consider it on a smaller scale in terms of economics.
