Can anyone tell me HOW antipiracy works in the first place?

I mean I know what it does, ruins our fun... but why does it work? How can the AP tell that it's not the original game anyway and trigger?

    I just don't get it...

There are differences between the actual game carts and the flashcarts, the way it handles data, etc.

The details of which are not important, or readily available to most people.

Well they shouldn't count their chickens before they hatch then. They estimate a game to earn so much then get all annoyed when it doesn't earn the right amount, boo to them.
