i stopped by target the other day and looked around the software isle and took a look at the budget section. what i found was freelancer and it cost 9.99. wow. bought the game and played it and was so awed by it. the controls are so easy and intuitive to use. the hub has everything and no need to remember all those hot key functions either. also the story line was sort of interesting.

I thought freelancer was damn to play, the first mission where you have to dock, I couldn't figure how to dock. =/

ROFL. Learn the keys then :p
The game shows a list of actions on the top of your screen you could have just clicked dock from there :p
And yes I've played a lot of Freelancer and it's mods. It's a helluva game :D

to dock all you do is click or select your destination and on the top there is like 4-5 icons which one is for docking. you click on it once you get close enough to the location. of course, it has to be a docking station or a space ship which you can dock on.

it's a great game with a simple interface without the heavy use of hotkeys.

Then it's not the same game I'm thinking about, this one was really hard to get into, I might just give freelancer a try then. C&C 3 Tiberium Wars Wasn't me anyway. (yay, 7.5 GB of wasted download time)

*gasps* You didn't like CNC3 *ends gasp*
[ends sarcasm] I kinda agree with you. The game got boring - fast.

That was my point, it was just a continuation of Generals and Red Alert 2, only slower...

Well it's not linked to generals at all, and there is a possible connection to RA1, but not 2.

No I mean gameplay wise, not story wise, it's the same old same old; nothing new to keep me intersted.

Ah yes the tank spam. Generals actually had more depth than this game. You actually had to use different units. With this its pred spam, mammy spam, scorp spam or PAC spam.
